Last Tuesday I got to school and sat down at the old Te karu so we could go to Waitangi to learn. Every one just turned up and the bus was hiding in the trees. When we got to Waitangi the bus arrived and we all RUSHED out and Whaea Monika and Whaea Kerry welcomed us and we all went in. All of us saw the beautiful lights inside it all was super pretty there was really colourful and pretty whale paintings. 5 mins later after we had a talk about what we did when they came to our school.
Next we talked to the expert of really special stones I was the first person to hold one of the stones because of my great faces that I was making. My stone was a green stone I was wondered why it was so pointy.
After that we all did scratch it was about us and our eels my partner was Anahera she was sitting next to me. Whaea Monika showed me how to get back in to scratch because I just some how loged off. My eel was black with funny eyes. I said to Lucy I like your eel, then we all went for a walk around and everyone's was really pretty. Whaea Deb said its time to have lunch so we all said awwww.
At the end of the day we ate our kai we all were listening to Whaea Deb and Whaea Monika talking and they said that we were going to the park and then I smiled. Later on Whaea Deb said its time to go to the park. First me Mason leef and Liv went to the big yellow trees. Liv screamed!!!! because there was a BIG BUG soo we we all ran but came back. After that we all played chain tag Mason T was in on the first round. All of us were screaming I was the best at it.
Last of all Whaea Kerry took us to some eels. One eel came up up to me and diped its head in the water and then SPLASH I got wet only a little bit though.As soon as we were leaving I was so sad Whaea Kerry and Whaea Monika were giving us high fives I never wanted to lea Waitangi then the bus left with us in it : [and we did say bye.
I woke up, whizzed down the ladder and YELLED at Chilli “get up, we are going to the paparore school gala!!!” let's start and I got Drest. Hurried up stairs and had breakfast and I woke up mum and dad and clay were up stairs and Chilli was ready and we got in the car and went to the gala. YaY…. we are here I ran to Bobby. Then we ran to the rock wall this he put the harness on me. I thought I would fall and then I would be a pancake But no I had a rope on me so I didn’t fall but I didn’t touch the top. That was the best day ever. My favourite ride was the bungy jump ride first this lady put a harness then I had to sit down and wait yay it’s my turn I jumped sooo high I felt a cloud and . Then I went on the harley rides they were soo loud, fast and bumpy then I went with kara to go to the lucky dip I won a chalkboard and some chalk and a clip it was like x-max then I was so hungry so I got ice cream jelly and some ice cream with Hay hay Kara and Mia and me. We didn't get the puwa pies but we did get junk food like candy and it was the time for the pumpkin thing 1st place was jackson he won $50 and 2d place was jamie $30 and 3d place was kiarn he won $20. It was time to go I said nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo so dad had to drag me out and he said you can wait till next year.
ON the first week of the school holidays on Easter Mum and Chilli went to the hospital. 2 hours later Mum called and said that Chilli had an appendicitis, I was very sad. I was crying to hear that. Mum came home and said that Chilli was at the hospital. I said can I come too? Dad said sorry you need to look after your Nan and Clay. I was still crying but laughing 5 mins later. Mum and Dad were leaving to go to the hospital. I was going to miss Mum Dad and Chilli. They just left I was so SAD so I went inside and played on my phone.
My throat was dry, my heart skipped a beat, I was about to go up on the show and shine. I was so nervous I just wanted to run away but I could not do that because I would be crazy and the show would really BAD if I did that. It was my turn I was with Kaydee Arahia Liv Lucy Awhi. It was my turn I was smiling and speaking to the crowd and then they there were smiling and so was my mum and she made the thumbs up. I really wanted to say hi in the microphone but I didn't, it was so fun and my mum was proud and I was proud of myself and the class and then the show had to end. Liv said time to celebrate and then we danced and I did the floss and Teina did the orange justice.
Marine reserves are a protected area that you cannot change but you can enjoy with your family and friends. Why do we need a marine reserve so the fish can have somewhere to live like native fish like parore. What happens when a area is not protected? We will not have fish for the future and then the kina will take over.
