My Speech

     WALT We are learning to write a persuasive                                            speech

Do you think that animals should get the same treatment as humans? I do.

     But not all people or animals get treated fairly.

Imagine a life of being stuck in a cage, abused and forced to reproduce - that's what some dogs,cats, cows, pigs and sheep have to go through. 

SPCA have to see all the horrible things that humans do to the poor animals.

In 2019 20 million animals were killed for food and 125,000 ended up at the SPCA . If you have a pet and don't treat it fairly you need to think, if you were your pet you wouldn’t like to be treated  that way?didn’t think So , So STOP 

People need to be nicer to

 each other and animals so the

world can be a better place.

Pets should not be used

to make money. 

I think I know what it is like to be abused

neglected and dumped, We hade a rescue dog named Toby and was all of

those things he was soo skinny he was really used to

defending him self. 

900 million dogs are in the

world, 1.2 million dogs get put down in the shelters in the USA.

  There are 10,000 puppy mills are in the world,

You would think that most animals would get

treatment NO not all do. 

Piggery farms and the barn raised cows/sheep all get

turned into meat for people.

Nobody thinks that cows,sheep,pigs, get killed in a mean way

but many do some die from a sickness or shot though the head

ect. 

And people eat all the of the cow,sheeps pigs

meat of the poor poor things I think it is

just wrong to slaughter the little dogs

cats and all other animals

Reflection: this took me a long time to finish the speech

because i had to finish the punctuation and all the other things you need to do to

make a perfect speech

The 7 Sisters Of Matariki

WALT WE are learning to think about the myths and legends of Matariki

Long ago there was 8 brothers and the youngest brother was Mitai

is the youngest and the other 7 brother were 

the most handsomest in the hole village. Mitai lived with his koroua and

he had learnt a lot of magic from his koroua one of

the magics that learnt was the turn into a albatross so he could 

spy on his 7 brothers and listen to his brothers conversations

with the help of a god 

Tawhirimatia. Mitai also had a best friend a bird named kiwi they could always

trusted each 

other though thick and thin, but one day a new bird came to the village and

that bird was a kea 

The had been spreading terrible this like Mitai eats Kiwis and that

Mitai HATES birds ect ect

And that was just what he told kiwi but at first kiwi didn’t believe the kea

But then the kea would Not stop so then the kiwi broke and kiwi 

Finally  believed him so then the kiwi stopped being best friends 

with Mitai. the hole village had heared about the rumours they all believed

it so then no one wanted to be friends with Mitai but this koroua. the

brothers went to go for a hunt pig for dinner but then they had heard the

most beautiful singing they ever heard so they wanted to follow and then

with 10,000000000% shock of how beautiful the 8 woman in the world

well that's what they thought so they wanted to marry the 7 woman but

Mitai did not care he did not want to marry the 8 woman named ururangi

so Mitai didn't so ururangi went back to the stars. Mitai was trying to

convince his brothers not to marry them so the agreed

i felt happy when i was writing this because i could turn it into my own

words and add some more characters to the story

😀 7 Week Sleep Over 😀

WALT : I am learning to use descriptive vocabulary in my writing.

My 7 week sleep over was very interesting  but I 

will start from the beggning ………….

                              Beginning 

week one:   I was exited cause i didnt have to go to 

                     excited   because i didn’t

school . the next day i was sad cause I didnt get to 

                                                                          Because didn’t 

see my friends, So i got very energetic and started 

                                      

to go crazy. so then started running around the 

                             . 

trampoline while my brother clay was  one  it

running and laughing cause I was trying to get him

Week two I was becoming really, really, really

lethargic, more than my real type of lethargic  

were I would need to go to the bathroom but not

  because my Chromebook was to entertaining

Week three & fore : I started to want to go for runs

on the beach and go for  10k push bike rides with my 

dad, I was happy with myself and I did that for 

two weeks. I would always make room for my 

Chromebook in my routine for the  day but I would 

go and see my nana and poppy like 3 days a week

yes they are in my bubble. 

           

Week five & six : I started to not want to go for runs 

or bike rides with my dad and yes i was on my 

chrome book most of the day but then my mum and 

dad came and said cleo you are not hopping on 

your Chromebook for them rest of the week and it 

                                                           The

was Wednesday so I went Destructive, i started to 

get really mad and almost went CRAZY!!!!!!!  

I almost wreaked my room and mum saw how ugly 

my  room is  and 

said in a really loud voice you need to clean this 

room up! so I knew that she was not kidding so i got 

right into. it took me 30 mins to clean! it was really 

hard though, after that I learnt not to almost tear 

my room apart. 

Week 7 :  my mum told me that we had to go back to 

school on Monday and it was Sunday. and I said 

NOOOOO! I can't go back tomorrow , she said don't be

 such a wuss you so can go back to school and for

the rest of the night I was thinking of how terrible 

school will be tomorrow.

the hard thing for me was to find the mistakes in my writing and to spell them correctly.

  

DRAFT - Duffy Theatre, Magic bricks

Introducing The Duffy Theatre.

On the holidays Duffy was exited to go to his favourite cousins house. When he arrived at Sams house Sam house was STILL playing on the game. Duffy asked Sam if he could have a turn but Sam was a RAGING RHINO and YELLED NO. She slapped his hand and said NO she was addicted to gaming. Duffy got board  and put on his magic grandmas glasses on and did the dumpling dance. Duffy finished dancing and got sucked in the game.

Duffy finished dancing and got sucked in the game.Duffy yelled out to Sam but she confused because she didn't know were he was. Sam YELLED out his name and he said he was in the game Sam was confused. Duffy had to choose a skin we all loved the mussel suit so he put it on he looked crack-up. Duffy said there were to game monsters you need to avoid its the puzzler and the Dismantler. The Puzzler puzzles things around for you cant finish the game the Dismantler just smashes everything like blocks. 

Sam got so angry that she put on Nana Whetu  glasses and started mimicking Duffy. Sam grabbed Nana Whetus secret book and then did the dumpling and got devoured into the game and joined Duffy he was happy to have someone else to talk to in the game. Sam was shocked she said that Nana all ways use to make the best dumplings in the world but that wasn't it. The book said that you have to shake shake it up. Duffy was running out of health so Sam had to give him some of her hot dogs, hot dogs are health. Aunty  Grace had to join the so she could " save them " but it didn't work something was wrong with Nana Whetus glasses so it wasn't them. Duffy had to think of another code it has to be the creators name. Sam yelled that there was a blue side on the blocks so they flipped the blocks around and it said Whetu on it. Sam thought her favourite dance could be it that could be the code. The Dismantler said that they missed Nana Whetu and then said that she the best creator in the pixel world.   

First Draft - The Great Reading Adventure

I have written about my class assembly. I'm the editing stage so you might find some mistakes. I am still working on it and will post my published writing.

Last Friday Te Whare Tui were doing an assembly and I was involved in it. The assembly was about the great reading adventure and doing varieties of books the two main characters were Arahia was Duffy and kaydee was scruffy. 

At the start of the play Arahia loves books so she says “ I love reading it’s just one of my all time favourite things to do”. My group was the hogwarts harry potter thing I was so nervous that what if I say the wrong thing because I didn’t have my paper.

 So many people were looking at the play I was relieved because we looked ridiculous because some of us had lightning on our head it was so funny. We had the most WAKY capes in the world worse than hogwarts Mikayla one was a little to how do I say this oh red that’s it. 

The Hare and The Tortoise / New Zealand Play House

Today  we went to the old Te Karau to watch New Zealand Playhouse Performed a wonderful play called The Hare and the Tortoise. The Characters in the story were Hare, Humpty Dumpty, Tortoise, Piped piper, ginger bread man. It was so MIND BLOWING lively and entertaining I was very moved so was the whole school. My favourite part was when the Hare called the ginger bread man biscuit boy.  Hope you enjoy my DLO.

Term 3 Recount Practice - Beach

In summer in 2019 me Chilli and Dad went too Ninety Mile beach. When we arrived I finished drinking Dads Pepsi and ran into the water in a single blink and I was in. The water was SO crystal clear that I could see about 5 fishy's when dad came in he said “ Should we go to the big waves” I was excited but scared so I said “ Should we cause I don’t want to go there” because I thought that I would dive down and not come back up. Chilli pulled my arm and dragged me there I was screaming for help but dad told her to do that or she wouldn’t be allowed back inside for the rest of the day but night time yes she would be allowed in cause what kind of parent would do that…. Oh yeah, back to the story my arm was really red and SORE like 2 minutes later I got over it I was on dads back duck diving with him the beautiful waves helped me see the bottom which got me really scared that why I stayed on my Dads back the whole time. When we finished swimming OUR motorbike was about to touch the water and I was furious, so we ran to the Motor bike and Zoomed home.
